Inspired by the Kōlea Bird

The Kōlea is a Native Hawaiian migratory bird known as the Pacific Golden Plover.  The Kōlea bird spends the winter months in Hawaii and travels to the Arctic in the spring/summer months. Kōlea birds complete a 3,000 non stop flight between Hawaii and Alaska that takes 3-4 days, one of the most grueling migrations in the avian world.  The intriguing part about this bird is that they have to continually flap their wings for the entire journey as they cannot soar, glide or swim.

Like the Kōlea bird, we want to support you in your own flight, however short or long it may be.  Youʻve made the first step by coming to our website.  Our intent at Kōlea Counseling is to meet you where you are at AND at times, challenge you to always keep moving towards your goal.

May you have the courage this week to begin breaking patterns in your life that no longer serve you
